“I was like, ‘No, no, no!'” she recalled.
“But then I found this beautiful home textile called Loom.
And I’m thinking, ‘Oh my god!
It’s this beautiful.’
I’ve never seen a home textil like that before.”
Loom is now one of the world’s most sought-after home textiling brands, but not everyone is thrilled by its debut.
Loom founder Mark Hales says his company has “had a rough year” but that he hopes to be “a very happy camper in the next few years.”
Hales said his company’s recent struggles are a “fear-driven reaction” from consumers to the company’s name.
“I’m a consumer, and I love the brands I like, and there’s a lot of consumer hate out there,” he said.
Homes has had some success selling his own brand of textiles in Australia, but it has struggled to find traction with consumers, especially in the States, where consumers are more concerned about the cost of living than quality.
As for the future, Hales said he hopes the company can be successful in the U.S. and abroad.
He said he is “looking at doing more business” with brands in the United States and overseas, but he also expects the company to be profitable for years to come.
But as for the other things he has on his to-do list, Hames said he wants to make his own clothes and make sure his wife has enough money to buy clothes for her family.
